In my older years I have been thinking about what is my purpose in life. After years of overthinking "crap",
I have come to my conclusion that my purpose is multi-purpose! My purpose is unified in me!
Resolution among multiple people or organizations. Going in the same direction in order to achieve a
common purpose. Unity is purpose driving not person driving.
How do you achieve this?
1) Leadership - Be the person people aspire to become. If they respect you ,they will work towards a
common goals. Establish the direction and coordinate group efforts. When I am dealing with the younger generation I am very aware of this. I listen to them when they are telling me things on how they came up with a decision and it is funny to hear them quote little old me. LOL My young friend Emma did it the other day. It warms my heart to think I am making a difference in her life.
2) Coordination - As a team each person needs to be coordinated toward achieving a common purpose. As a leader one of the most important parts is that you have the right person in the right position. When I come in and manage something that is the first think I try to observe.
3) Cooperation - If all parties cooperate and work as one group the purpose will be unity.
4) Contribution - In a group each person must bring their individual gifts to the table. One person might
be a photographer, one a web designer together their contributions make the unity of purpose greater.
The benefits:
1) New meaning to our existence, new purpose to pursue peace in our relationship and our inner being.
Levels
1) Acceptance - to achieve unity you need to accept what you are assigned in a group. Sometimes you need to swallow your pride to achieve unity. I have had to do this several times in the company I work because they value things different than me and it's okay. In the end you need to do what is best for the whole project. You cannot let pride get in the way.
2) Agreement - agreeing is not taking the easy way out, it's just learning to maybe take the high road and just adjusting to a certain situation. Always try to make your point but sometimes it's not worth the battle. Chose your battles wisely.
3) Alignment - You must stay in sync with your beliefs but sometimes bend to conform to the situation at hand. As long as it doesn't go against what your beliefs are or would hurt anyone else.
REMEMBER WHEN YOU ARE WORKING IN A GROUP SITUATION YOU ALL SHARE A COMMON GOAL
